A 1933/34 DLV German Air Sports Magazine in Commemoration for the First Year
This is an extremely well preserved DLV (Deutscher Luftsport-Verband/German Air Sports Association magazine in commemoration for the first year of its existence between March 25, 1933 and March 25, 1934. The exterior is constructed of light card stock with the DLV insignia embossed on the front cover with “1933-1934 Deutscher Luftsport”. It contains articles about its beginning, as well as articles about Gliding Competitions, the 1933 Germany Flight, Air Sports in the theater, Air Sports in music, Model Glider Competitions, Exhibitions and Shows, and several others with countless photographs. The magazine measures 23.3 mm x 338 mm, and is overall well preserved except for a few pages near the middle that appear to have been stuck together and then ripped apart - rendering select pages slightly ripped. Overall better than very fine condition.
