A 1934 SS Letter Naming Karl von Pichl Crew Leader of Section XVI
Printed in black ink with the personalized inscriptions in black typewriter face on an off-white paper stock, letterhead inscribed "Der Reichsführer-SS. / Tgr.Nr. 3350/3784" (The Reichsfuhrer of the SS / Diary Number 3350/3784), emboss stamped with the eagle and "Meine Ehre heisst Treue" (Loyalty is My Honour) SS insignia below, dated "München, den 30. August 1934." (Munich, August 30, 1934), addressed to "SS-Sturmbannführer" regarding Karl von Pichl (SS-Nr. 41 935.), stating "Ich beauftrage Sie m.W.v. 10.9.34. m.d.W.d.G. des Stabsführers des Abschnitts XVI." (I hereby authorize you, with effect from October 9, 1934 to be entrusted with the implementation of the tasks of Crew Leader of Section XVI.), marked "Der Reichsführer-SS.", signed and initialled in black ink below, label affixed at the bottom inscribed "Der Reichsführer SS" and "Beauftragt mit der Wahrnehmung der Geschäfte des", with task inscription, signed and dated in black ink "10.9.34." (September 10, 1934) and stamped in blue ink "Der Chef des SS Anites L 21", both the letter and the label stamped in blue ink with the official NSDAP insignia and marked "Nationalsoz. Deutsche Arbeiterpartei Der Reichsführer SS" (National Socialist German Workers' Party / The Reichsfuhrer of the SS), 207 mm x 296 mm, foldmarks, lightly soiled, better than very fine.
