A 1936 Berlin Olympics Commemorative Book
An Olympics 1936 memorabilia book, 20 p., measuring 255x321mm, extremely fine condition with light scuffing and decolouration of the cover, and light to intermittent warping of the pages. The cover reads: “Ich rufe die Jugend der Welt!” (I call the youth of the world!) It was the official motto. The book contains a double page with facsimiles of many of the gold medal winners from the various participating countries. There is also a picture of Adolf Hitler with his facsimile underneath, as well as one of Reich Sports Leader Hans von Tschammer und Osten. The rest of the book is made up of photos showing sights in and around Berlin (Brandenburg Gate, Radio Tower, Sanssouci etc.), including many sports related attractions (Reich Sports Field, Olympic Village etc.).
