A 1936 Black Grade Wound Badge Authorization Document
A certificate for being eligible to wear the Wound Badge in Black. It measures 209x148mm, very fine condition with folding creases, some age spots, and two punched holes. The certificate is called a “Berechtigungsausweis”, which translates to permit ID. The recipient, Kaufmann (merchant) Max Pscherer from Unterlind (today a borough of Sonneberg in Thuringia, central Germany) is eligible to wear the Wound Badge in Black for members of the army (as opposed to the navy, which is crossed out). The document is signed in Bayreuth on July 22nd, 1936, and issued by the Versorgungsamt (pension office) Bayreuth. The signature is indecipherable.
