A 1937 Letter from the Luftwaffe Sales Department Concerning a Civilian Pilot’s Badge
Measuring 210x295mm, near extremely fine condition with multiple folding creases, some scuffing, and two punched holes. The letter is dated to August 10, 1937 and sent as a reply to an original inquiry from two days prior by a Flieger-Übungsstellenleiter (pilot training site leader), H. Wendel in Erfurt (eastern Germany). Apparently Wendel had asked to buy a Civilian Pilot’s Badge from the Luftwaffe sales department. They in turn now ask him to send a certified copy of his award certificate first, after which the badge will be delivered.
