A 1944 -1945 Third Reich German Hunting Permit to Mr. Hermann Wanner of Vienna
This is a Third Reich hunting permit belonging to Mr. Hermann Wanner. He was born on April 2, 1894 and lived in Vienna on 13 Leopold Müllergasse 6 in the hunting region Vienna-Southwest. The hunting permit was issued on April 1, 1944 and was valid from the date of issue to March 31, 1945. It features a portrait of Mr. Wanner, his signature, as well as the seal of the hunting office of Vienna. The inside pages of the hunting permit show which animals he was allowed to hunt during the year, including the hunting season for each. On the second interior page is a list of animals allowed to be hunted during the entire year, as well as some basic rules. It also states that he is a member of the “Deutsche Jägerschaft” (at the cost of 50 Reichsmark) and that he has hunter’s insurance (at the cost of 10.50 Reichsmark). The reverse lists more hunting rules. It measures 148 mm x 105 mm, entirely readable, and is in extremely fine condition. (C:166)
