Your entered maximum bid will not be disclosed to the seller or other auction participants at any point.

Max bidding example:

If the current auction price is $100 dollars and you place a maximum bid of $120 dollars, the system will bid $101 dollars on your behalf.

If no other participant places a bid, you win that auction lot for $101 dollars.

If another auction participant places a bid of $110 dollars, the system will subsequently place a bid of $111 dollars on your behalf. The system will continue to bid in $1.00 dollar increments until your maximum bid of $120 dollars is exceeded.

If another auction participant places a bid for $125 dollars, the auction lot price will display $121 dollars having exceeded your previously submitted maximum bid by $1.00 dollar.

Over the course of the next 27 years he received ten promotions, the last one to Major General in Mar 1945. In 1934 he was transferred into the Luftwaffe, serving in the Naval Air Forces. During WWII he was stationed in the Baltic Sea, the Atlantic, the Black Sea, and the Mediterranean. He was even supposed to go to Japan as an attache, but was captured by the British instead. He was released in 1947. Von Wild received, among other awards, the Iron Cross 2nd and 1st Class, a Naval Wound Badge in Black, a Crimean Shield, a Commander Cross of the Romanian Crown, and a German Cross in Gold.

The pay book slip has some personal information about von Wild as well as his last deployment and the badges he was awarded. The back lists his deployments between 1938 and 1945. It is signed by a Lieutenant Colonel of the Corps Group of Stockhausen – Führerreserve (Leaders Reserve). It was filled out in Jan of 1946. Of the four photos, three are copies on photo paper. The first shows von Wild in civilian clothing next to a car. On the second one he wears a uniform and is seen with three Luftwaffe officers. The third pictures shows him in a group of eight men, some wearing pilot’s caps. The fourth picture shows him as a flying instructor in 1932.
