Germany. A Aeroplane Stunt Licence of Wolfgang Stieda with Photograph
This is a Luftfahrschein für Flugzeugführer of the Third Reich. It belonged to Wolfgang Stieda, and features a photograph on the first page with the date of issue being February 25, 1937 in Hamburg, with three authentication stamps of the Luftamt Hamburg (Aviation Office Hamburg). The second page contains basic information such as booklet number (151), Maiden Name (Stieda), First Name (Wolfgang), Date of Birth (6.5.1910), Place of Birth (Riga), Occupation (Illegible); Nationality (German Reich), Residence (Bremen), and Street Name (Schwachhauser-Hausstr. 85). The fourth and fifth pages contain licensing stamps as of February 25, 1937 until May 21, 1945 - this allowed Wolfgang Stieda to own and operate “einfache/simple” aeroplanes. Notably, pages fourteen and fifteen states that between June 7th 1937 and May 6, 1941, Wolfgang Stieda was also permitted to perform stunt flights publicly. The licence booklet contains a total of sixteen pages, measures 105 mm x 149 mm and is very well preserved with all pages intact. Two hole-punched holes on the front cover. The photograph depicts Wolfgang Stieda sitting in the cockpit of a biplane with his girlfriend/fiance/wife standing by his side. The photograph measures 119 mm x 89 mm and is also very well preserved. Overall excellent condition.
