A Luftwaffe Soldbuch & Anti-Partisan Document to Fallschirmjäger - Document Group of Arno Schroeder: Luftwaffe Soldbuch in worn condition with pages 1-6 missing however, full of entries and detaills, extensively used; with Award Document for the Anti-Partisan Badge in Bronze, one Letter to his mother regarding the Anti-Partisan Badge he was awarded in fine condition. The only clear entry regarding active service spared from water damage on page 17 is that he served with the 3rd Reserve Paratrooper Battalion dater January 1945. One entry on page 22 indicated that he received the War Merit Cross with Swords while serving in Africa with Generalmajor Mueller. In the section pertaining to time taken off duty, there are 8 entries between 1939 and 1945 for trips he took to Oelsnitz, which because the first page with personal information is missing, could indicate his hometown. There are four entries for trips to the field hospital between 1944 and 1945. He was awarded the Anti-Partisan Badge in Bronze on August 5th, 1944 while serving in Italy. The letter addressed to his mother Anna reads: as the current address of your son Arno is unknown to us, we are sending you this certificate for the Anti-Partisan Badge, which was awarded to your son on August 5th 1944.
