A Prototype Knight’s Cross Design for a Luftwaffe Ceremony Sevres-Manufactured Plate

This is an artist’s watercolour rendition of a Knight’s Cross of the Iron Cross with Oak Leaves, Swords, and Diamonds. It as intended to be used on porcelain produced at the well-regarded porcelain city of Sevres, in France, for a Luftwaffe ceremony. The painting is well executed, depicting the aforenoted Knight’s Cross, with ribbon, encircled by a wreath with a colour code “gold matt” and “gold blank” added on the right edge of the cardstock. On the reverse is a note added in pencil, reading “on a plate of the Luftwaffe ceremony”. Measuring 198 mm x 155 mm; with two period-original staples, in mint condition. (C:100)
