A Rare ID Card from German-Occupied Channel Island Guernsey
Measuring 75x114mm, near very fine condition, with consistent scuffing and creasing. The document is bilingual, English and German. It is an ID card for Frederick Charles Bynam, born November 4, 1865, living in St. Peter Port on the occupied Channel island Guernsey. The Channel islands were the only British-controlled territory the Germans were able to occupy during the Second War. The document features a stamp of the Guernsey States Office from May 9, 1945, the day of liberation.
