An ID document, 3 pages, measuring 105x163mm, fine condition with some fraying, two punched holes, and multiple repairs where the pages had come apart at the folding creases. The issuer is the Freiwilliger Arbeitsdienst (Voluntary Labour Service, FAD), a precursor of the Reichsarbeitsdienst (Reich Labour Service, RAD) between 1931 and 1935. The owner is Waldarbeiter (forestry worker) Walter Rudolf Weißenborn, born January 25, 1915 in Itzbach in the district of Trier. He joined the FAD on January 17, 1934 and left on July 21 of the same year when he found a permanent job. The cover reads: Those who served under this sign have proven that they are willing to help rebuild our fatherland!
