A Wartime Filecard for Customs ID for German-Lithuanian Border

A filecard for German customs ID, measuring 209x147mm, extremely fine condition with light scuffing. The issuing body is the regional administration in Heydekrug (modern day Šilutė, western Lithuania). The recipient is Lithuanian woman Stepanija Sgumin from Uszpelken (Memelland region). The card states that she was born in Skirozeme on November 25, 1911. Twice a year, Sgumin will cross at the border station in Wersmenigken at 10 a.m. by bicycle with her infant son Herbert, born February 10, 1942. She will stay with a person named Peter Kuisys in the town of her birth and return the next day. As reason for this, the card states: collection of laundry.
