What's a max bid?

Buyer's Premium

All bids are subject to a Buyer's Premium which is in addition to the placed successful bid. The following rate of Buyer's Premium will be added to the Hammer Price of each Lot that you purchase:

A postcard showing a picture of Joachim Schepke. It measures 91x141mm, mint condition. It is signed in black ink. The back of the card identifies the photographer as Photo-Hoffmann, Munich. It also states that reprinting is forbidden: “Nachdruck verboten”.

Footnote: Captain Lieutenant Joachim Schepke (1912–1941) was a U-Boat commander and recipient of the Knight’s Cross of the Iron Cross, as well as the 7th recipient of the Oak Leaves. He sank 34 ships, more than any other U-Boat commander. He died in action when his ship, the U-100 was sunk in the Atlantic.
