A Wound Badge in Black Document to NCO Bruno Kasrien; Battle of Uman

A certificate, measuring 140x199mm, very fine condition with some creasing and scuffing, a folding crease, and some discolouration. It states that Unteroffizier (NCO) Bruno Kasrien of the 5th Company of Aufklärungsabteilung (Reconnaissance Detachment) 16 has been wounded on July 17, 1941 and received a Wound Badge in Black on January 29, 1942. The document is dated to Krummhübel (modern day Karpacz, southwest Poland) and signed by an Oberstabsarzt and Chief Medical Officer of convalescent hospital Krummhübel, the name is indecipherable. Footnote: Aufklärungsabteilung 16, later Panzer Aufklärungsabteilung 16, was part of the 16th Panzer Divsion. In July 1941, when Kasrien was wounded, the unit fought in the Battle of Uman.
