Germany. An Early Studio Portrait of an SA man with Flag Bearer’s Gorget
Measuring 89x139mm, extremely fine condition with light scuffing and warping. The picture postcard shows a low-ranked SA member. Due to the fact that he only wears a single shoulder strap the picture can be dated to the early 1930s. He also wears an SA flag bearer’s gorget. The insignia on the side of the kepi is probably an edelweiss. On the reverse a stamp identifies the photographer as E. Knödler from Lauingen (Bavaria). Apart from the stamp the reverse is unused.
