1.Including an award document for a 1939 Iron Cross II Class, constructed of off-white paper with black ink, named to “LEUTNANT D.R. WILHELM BÜSING” of “3./SICHERUNGS-BATAILLON 663”, issued at the Füherhauptquartier on 24 March 1943, featuring a handwritten signature of Generaloberst Georg-Hans Reinhardt, measuring 140 mm (w) x 200 mm (h), in extremely fine condition;
2. a Reichsnährstand document appointing Büsing to a position with the organization’s regalia and insignia department, constructed of off-white paper with multi-coloured ink, dated 30 September 1938, measuring 212 mm (w) x 296 mm (h), in extremely fine condition; a Reichsnährstand document confirming Büsing’s position, constructed of off-white paper with multi-coloured ink, measuring 210 mm (w) x 148 mm (h), in near extremely fine condition;
3.a Reichsnährstand document releasing Büsing into Wehrmacht service, constructed of off-white paper with multi-coloured ink, dated 25 September 1939 and retroactive from 6 September, measuring 210 mm (w) x 296 mm (h), in near extremely fine condition;
4. a pair of Wehrmacht briefings directed to Büsing, both constructed of off-white paper with black ink, each dated 17 June 1941 and measuring 210 mm (w) x 298 mm (h), in overall extremely fine condition;
5. a 69. Infanterie-Division Order of the Day, constructed of off-white paper with multi-coloured ink, dated 11 October 1944, measuring 208 mm (w) x 298 mm (h), in better than very fine condition;
6. a Grenadier-Regiment 280 combat report, constructed of four white paper pages with black ink, dated 11 February 1945, measuring 210 mm (w) x 300 mm (h), soiling and material fatigue evident, in overall very fine condition;
7. a 19 February 1945 edition of Natanger Tageblatt, constructed of off-white paper, with a featured article on the war in East Prussia and small commentary on action of Büsing and his unit, measuring 292 mm (w) x 435 mm (h), with soiling and material fatigue evident, in overall very fine condition;
8. a photograph of Büsing in a Feldwebel’s uniform, undated and unmarked, measuring 48 mm (w) x 72 mm (h), in extremely fine condition;
9. a photograph of Büsing with his wife, depicted in the uniform of a Heer Oberleutnant, wearing a 1939 Iron Cross ribbon and a ribbon bar with War Merit Cross with Swords and an Eastern Front Medal, the reverse with a handwritten date of “AUGUST 1943”, measuring 140 mm (w) x 103 mm (h), in extremely fine condition;
10. a second photograph of Büsing with his wife, also with a handwritten reverse date of “AUGUST 1943”, measuring 102 mm (w) x 145 mm (h), in extremely fine condition; a postwar reproduced photograph of Büsing receiving his Knight’s Cross in the field, also depicted wearing the Infantry Assault Badge, the Iron Cross I Class, the Close Combat Clasp, and the SA Sports Badge, unmarked, measuring 147 mm (w) x 104 mm (h), in extremely fine condition;
11. an original group photograph of Büsing one the day of his Knight’s Cross ceremony, the reverse with a studio mark of “LUDWIG BURKHARDT”, measuring 146 mm (w) x 85 mm (h), in extremely fine condition;
The group also contains and extensive assortment of non-military Third Reich period correspondence, as well as prewar documents and cards, as well as postwar correspondence to Büsing’s widow.
