1. An Eastern Front Medal, constructed of silvered and patinated zink, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse bearing a raised Heer-style German national eagle clutching a swastika, the reverse bearing a raised inscription of “WINTERSCHLACHT IM OSTEN 1941/42” (“WINTER BATTLE IN THE EAST 1941/42”) above a crossed sword and laurel branch, topped by a Stahlhelm, unmarked, measuring 35.96 mm (w) x 44.05 mm (h), weighing 20.0 grams, accompanied by its original package of issue, constructed of light brown paper stock, the exterior bearing an inscription of “MEDAILLE ‘WINTERSCHLACHT IM OSTEN’ 1941/42’ (OSTMEDAILLE”) and maker’s mark of “WALTER & HENLEIN, GABLONZ”, measuring 60 mm (w) x 106 mm (h), with loss of finish visible to the medal, in overall very fine condition.

2. A Wehrpaß, constructed of a field-grey card stock binding with 54 paginated interior pages filled with handwritten entries and retaining a black-and-white photo of Scheerer, measuring 105 mm (w) x 150 mm (h), notably retaining a photo of Scheerer speaking with a female civilian on the Eastern Front, in overall near extremely fine condition.
