The ID booklet is named to Unteroffizier (NCO) Arno Herbert Schibrowski. It was issued on October 15, 1907 in Jüterbog (near Berlin). Measuring 90x144mm, better than fine condition with scuffing and fraying of the cover and (repaired) damage to the spine, resulting in the body of the book having come loose on the lower half.

Herbert Schibrowski was born on July 31, 1886 in Neuenburg near Schwetz (present-day Świecie, northern Poland). He joined the Prussian army on October 2, 1906 and was placed in the 6th Company of Foot Artillery Regiment “von Hindersin” (Pommeranian) No. 2. During the First War, Schibrowski fought in Belgium and France. Among other locations, he was stationed near Verdun, the Marne river, and the Champagne region. Schibrowski was promoted to Obergefreiter (Corporal) on April 3, 1917, he won the Iron Cross 2nd Class on August 1, 1817, and was promoted to NCO on November 6, 1917. Schibrowski survived the war and was discharged in December of 1918.
