(Verleihungsurkunde und Bild). An award document for an Iron Cross, I Class, constructed of off-white paper with black ink, named to “MASCHINENOBERGEFREITEN ALFONS ENDERLE”, dated 6 March 1942, with a handwritten signature of Vizeadmiral Karl Dönitz, measuring 140 mm (w) x 200 mm (h), minor material fatigue evident, in overall near extremely fine condition, and; a black-and-white photograph of Enderle aboard Type IXB U-Boat U-108, the reverse with a handwritten inscription and date of March 1942, measuring 60 mm (w) x 90 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.
