(Kriegsmarine Soldbuch und Bilder). A Soldbuch belonging to Tirpitz crewman Hans Hicker, constructed of light brown card stock, the interior with 40 pages, featuring a black-and-white photograph of the bearer, measuring 105 mm (w) x 148 mm (h), minor material fatigue evident, in overall better than very fine condition; also including a lot of photographs, including a large depiction of the Tirpitz in Norway, undated, measuring 240 mm (w) x 180 mm (h) (inclusive of integrated border); also including ten photographs taken on board the Tirpitz at sea and in dock, all measuring 140 mm (w) x 90 mm (h), affixed to black card stock pages retrieved from an album, in overall extremely fine condition.
Footnote: Hans Hicker was born on 1 October 1919. He entered Kriegsmarine service on 15 April 1941 and served as a crewman aboard the Tirpitz for the duration of the war. He was awarded the Tirpitz Commemorative Pin on 24 December 1943. After the sinking of the Tirpitz, Hicker is last recorded as being assigned to the Kriegsmarine Reserve in Lübeck. (March 1945)
