Germany, NSFK. A Private Prewar Photo Album
(Nationalsozialistisches Fliegerkorps). A private prewar photo album from belonging to an individual who served with the Nationalsozialistisches Fliegerkorps (National Socialist Flyers Corps/NSFK), constructed of a card stock binding with a canvas exterior liner, the spine perforated with four eyelets through which is looped a period original drawstring that maintains the album’s structure,the interior content consistent of 25 black card stock pages separated by wax paper dividers to protect the images, pasted and otherwise inserted with with 127 images of various sizes in both black-and-white and colour, with the photos equally split between private family images and scenes of NSFK activities in 1936 and 1937, with aircraft assembled for review and in flight, with images of personnel in uniform and flight gear, supplemented by postcards which include a hand-signed image of NSFK Korpsführer Friedrich Christiansen, measuring 37 cm (w) x 26.5 cm (h) overall, demonstrating minor material fatigue and the loss of some photos, in overall very fine condition.
