Germany, SS. A Waffen-SS Recruiting Poster

(Waffen-SS Propagandaplakat). A classic and well-preserved Waffen-SS recruiting poster, printed on white paper, the base of the obverse bearing a black-and-white close-up photograph of a Waffen-SS Gebirgsjäger gazing into the distance and wearing a M43 cap with a Totenkopf insignia clearly visible, overlaid at the bottom by an image of three soldiers wearing Stahlhelms about to advance from an entrenched position, overlaid at the top by an orange inscription of “WAFFEN-SS”, the bottom with an unspoiled orange bar for the optional period addition of recruitment information, the lower right corner bearing an artist’s name of “HÖCH”, measuring 420 mm (w) x 638 mm (h), the poster has been rolled up and demonstrates only slight creasing and fatigue to the edge consistent with age, a quintessential Waffen-SS propaganda post in overall extremely fine condition.
