An award document for an Iron Cross II Class, constructed of off-white paper stock with black ink, named to “SS-ROTTENFÜHRER RICHARD KASTENBUTT”, Aufklärungs-Abteilung, Leibstandarte SS AH, issued at divisional headquarters on 3 January 1942, featuring a handwritten signature of SS-Obergruppenführer Sepp Dietrich, measuring 142 mm (w) x 200 mm (h), the bottom of the document demonstrates tearing and fatigue, in otherwise near extremely fine condition.
