Germany, Third Reich. A 1936 Copy of AH: Bilden aus dem Leben des Führers
(Zigaretten-Album). A well-preserved copy of AH: Bilden aus dem Leben des Führers (AH: Photos from the Life of the Führer). Constructed of a card stock binding, the cover bearing a gilt embossed name, with an additional name adoring the spine. The interior content consists of 132 paginated pages pasted with 195 stickers bearing black-and-white images depicting the daily life of AH following the rise to power of the NSDAP, with the Führer seen meeting dignitaries, greeting supporters, and on review of personnel. These are supplemented by additional images of scenes of daily life in the early period of the Third Reich, as well as by illustration of the childhood homes of AH and copies of his paintings. The images are captioned and supplemented by descriptive entries on key figures in the administration of the National Socialist regime. It was published in 1936 by Cigaretten-Bilderdienst Hamburg-Bahrenfeld, and printed in Leipzig. The book measures 250 mm (w) x 315 mm (h) and is accompanied by a period original card stock storage case. A small patch of soiling is evident to the cover of the book, some of the stickers have become partially detached (but all are retained), and minor material fatigue is evident to the storage case. The album is in an overall near extremely fine condition.
