A selection of eight colour prints from the 1941 Grossen Deutsche Kunstausstellung (Greater German Art Exhibition), each presented on a larger card stock backer measuring 510 mm (w) x 405 mm (h), above a title and artist’s name with corner pagination, including “Panzer in Kampf” by Rudolf Lipus, “Der 10. Mai 1940” by Paul Mathias Padua, “Pak im Kampf gegen Panzer” by Herbert Schnürpel, “Am Tiber” by Hermann Urban, “Der lustige Schimmel” by Julius Paul Junghanns, “Weidende Kühe” by Franz Xaver Stahl, “Der Rote Brokat” by Constantin Gerhardinger, and a portrait of Josef Pembaur by Leo Samberger, accompanied by an original card stock folio with the cover bearing event and content information, the interior with a table of contents listing the complete contents from which 12 examples have been lost to time, also accompanied by a period original heavy card stock binder, the cover bearing a German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, topped by a helmeted Grecian figure flanked by a torch, above a further exhibition inscription measuring 410 mm (w) x 510 mm (h), in addition to the missing prints the folder demonstrates age-appropriate material fatigue, an incomplete set retaining excellent images in overall better than very fine condition.
