Germany, Third Reich. An Announcement of the Introduction of Official Cases for the Hindenburg Cross, c. 1935
The announcement is addressed to the owners of the Honour Cross 1914/18 (Hindenburg Cross), stating that the Reich minister of the interior has approved an official case for the cross with the motto “Treue um Treue” (loyalty for loyalty) and a facsimile signature of the late General Field Marshal von Hindenburg. The cases are available in wood for 1 Reichsmark and in carton for 0.75 Reichsmark. The announcement was published by the Reich commercial association of the casing and carton industry. Measuring 221 mm (w) x 140 mm (h), presenting two folding creases, light overall creasing, some fraying of the edges, and a small piece missing on the right side, remains better than fine.
