Footnote: Dr. Robert Maria Haas, born 15 August 1886 in Prague, was an Austrian musicologist whose work focused primarily on the symphonies of Anton Bruckner. Haas was a member of the NSDAP and engaged in anti-Semitic discourses in his later career, in a likely attempt to gain favour with the government. As a result of his activities during the Third Reich, he was largely marginalized after the war and died in Vienna on 4 October 1960.
