Germany, Third Reich. An Ober Widdersheim Honorary Citizen Document to AH
(Ehrenbürgerbrief). A rare Ober Widdersheim (Landkreis Büdingen, Hessen) honorary citizen certificate named to AH, bestowing the honour on 23 March 1933 in recognition of what the document claims is leading the citizens of the town into more prosperous times, featuring handwritten signatures from the mayor and town council, constructed of paper stock with multi-coloured ink, folded in half and concealed within a cream-coloured card stock folio, secured in place with a red, white, and black string wrapped around the spine, with the cover bearing a brown inscription of “EHRENBÜRGERBRIEF”, measuring 330 mm (w) x 495 mm (h) and displaying only minor, age-appropriate yellowing and creasing, in overall near extremely fine condition.
