A Bundes Deutscher Mädel Leader’s ID Book Belonging to Ingeborg Schneider

This is a unique Bundes Deutscher Mädel “BDM” (League of German Girls) of the Hitler Youth Leader’s ID Book, that belonged to Ingeborg Schneider. The first page contains the serlial number “9659/10” in a blue ink stamp of the ID book with a square 41 mm x 42 mm” photograph of Ingeborg Schneider attached via a single staple. The second page contains some of her basic information, such as Maiden Name (Schneider), First Name (Inge - short for Ingeborg), Birth Date (6.5.1926 in Essen), Address (Essen, Alexanderstraße 38), and that she was promoted to the rank of Mädelschaftsführering on April 1st, 1942 and promoted to Bannmädelführerin of the Bann 173 on January 30th, 1943. The ID book features three Hitler-Youth authentication stamps and two signatures of her (unnamed) superiors. The booklet contains an additional blank page for other promotions to be listed, as well as two additional pages for miscellaneous notes, also blank. The book measures 123 mm x 75 mm, and is in overall extremely fine condition, without major flaws, soiling, or other signs of significant wear.
