A Waffen-SS Summary Report to a Member of the 9th SS Mountain Artillery Regiment
A service summary report of Wilhelm Stein of the 9th SS Gebirgs Artillerie Regiment. Stern ws born on March 3, 1921 in Cologne (Altenburgerstraße 109 a) in Germany to his father Josef Stein. He was roman catholic, single, and a student prior to joining the SS. He joined the SS on October 21, 1939 within the St. Battr. III, and was trained with the karabiner 98k (standard-issue rifle), Gasmaske 30 (gasmask), Maschinen Pistole (machine pistol), the MG 34 and the heavy Pak (Panzerabwehrkanone/Anti-Tank Cannon). He was awarded the Black Wound Badge on December 12, 1941, and the Eastern Campaign Medal on August 10, 1942. He participated in the Battle of the Kulajärbi Region, the Battle of the Sohjana Region in Kiestinki, in the defence of Kieststinki, in the battle of Gankaschwaare, and in the defence of Northern Finland. The document is signed and stamped by the Einheitsführer on April 18, 1944. Measuring 295 mm x 210 mm; in near mint condition.
