A 1945 Kriegsmarine Hero’s Death Notice

A death notice for a member of the Kriegsmarine, measuring 209x296mm, fine condition with some fraying and discolouration, folding creases, and a rip down the upper half of the document that has been repaired with tape on the back. The certificate states that on February 3, 1945 Maschinen-Gefreiter (Machinist and Lance Corporal) Bruno Wegener died a hero’s death. The document is dated to “Im Osten” (in the East) on February 15, 1945, and signed in blue ink by Oberleutnant und Kompanieführer (Senior Lieutenant and Company Leader).
