Germany, Kriegsmarine. A Pair of Documents to Heinrich Timm, Seehund U-Boat 055 Crew
(Kriegsmarine Papiere). A unique pair of documents named to Maschinen-Maat Heinrich Timm, including a Kriegsmarine certificate, constructed of off-white paper with black ink, stating that Timm was a crewman about Seehund U-Boat 055, a midget submarine which ran aground on the island of Terschelling and is now stranded on the island, dated 23 May 1945 and featuring a stamp of the Kriegsmarine garrison on the island, measuring 208 mm (w) x 132 mm (h), with soiling and material fatigue evident throughout, in overall near very fine condition, and; an undated typewritten letter by Timm detailing his Kriegsmarine service between the summer of 1940 and the conclusion of the war on 5 May 1945, measuring 210 mm (w) x 298 mm (h), in near extremely fine condition.
