(SS Papier). A pair of documents to SS-Oberscharführer Hugo Mayer, born 5 May 1921 in Gundelfingen. Included is a promotion document, dated 1 November 1942. As part of SS Infanterie-Regiment 10, Mayer was promoted to SS-Unterscharführer. Constructed of off-white paper, measuring 210 mm (w) x 297 mm (h), and in near extremely fine condition. Also included is a certificate from the Kraftfahrtechnische Lehranstalt der Waffen-SS (Automotive Institute of the Waffen-SS), dated 31 March 1944, stating that Mayer has qualified as a technical specialist. The certificate was issued in Vienna and is signed by SS-Brigadeführer (Major General) Walther Neblich. Measuring 209 mm (w) x 296 mm (h). Some creasing evident, but otherwise in better than very fine condition.
