A 1938 Reich Career Competition Award Document

Certificate of district winner in Reich Career Competition Karl Kinkler, 36.4 x 44.3 cm. Date of item: 1938. Condition: excellent. A framed certificate stating that Karl Kinkler is a district winner in the group of banks and insurances in the 1938 Reichsberufswettkampf (Reich Career Competition), and that ownership of the certificate enables Kinkler to wear the district winner’s badge he was awarded. It is signed in Berlin on National Labour Day (May 1st) 1938, and carries the facsimiles of the head of the German Labour Front, Robert Ley and head of the Hitler Youth, Baldur von Schirach. The first Reichsberufswettkampf took place in 1934 on National Labour Day, the last one in 1939. They were organized by the Reich Youth Leadership (Hitler Youth) and the German Labour Front. The topics of the competition were professional practice, professional theory, ideological schooling, and for women also domestic management. The winners of these competitions gained significant occupational advantages. The winners of the Reich level competition also got to meet AH.
