Issued to Gerhard Schienke : Paratroopers Badge award document (Funker G. Schienke ), Dated 14.8.1942, original signature of General der Flieger, document is mounted on a white cardboard (no doubt it was taken out from a picture frame), in good condition; award document for a silver grade wound badge (Ogefr. Schienke 1. Fallsch. Pi. Batl.2), dated 5.6.1944, original signature of a Major and Batl. Commander, folded, in fine condition; the reverse side of the photo reads: to my dear Rita, in memory of sweet moments past. Gerhard, May 23rd 1942. Schienke was part of an Airborne Pioneers Battalion, serving as a combat engineer.
