A Black Grade Wound Badge Document to Panzer Grenadier Regiment 63

An award certificate, measuring 148x209mm, near mint condition. The recipient is Lance Corporal ErichSchmift of the 8th Battalion of Panzer Grenadier Regiment 63, for being wounded on September 11, 1943. The document is dated to Vienna on October 13, 1943 and signed in black ink by Oberstarzt and Chief Medical Doctor of Reserve Military Hospital XXI, the name is indecipherable.

Footnote:The Panzer Grenadier Regiment 63 was part of the 17th Panzer Division. It was established in mid 1942 in Central Russia. Schmift was wounded during the retreat from a position at the Donets river to behind the Dniepr river.
