A Congratulatory Letter from 1st Battalion of Infantry Regiment 432 for Iron Cross
A letter, measuring 210x148mm, extremely fine condition with folding crease. It is an accompanying letter for an Iron Cross 2nd Class, dated to December 22, 1940. The recipient is Lance Corporal Schütz. His name was originally wrongly typed as Schulz, but has been changed by pen. Schütz was part of the 1st Battalion of Infantry Regiment 432. The letter is sent on behalf of the entire Battalion, wishing Schütz a long and healthy life during which to wear the well-deserved decoration. It is signed in pencil by a Lieutenant and Adjutant, the name could be Meyer.
