A posthumous award document for Croatian Bravery Award issued to Mrs. Gürz on behalf of her fallen husband. Issued in the name of the Croatian head of state Dr. Ante Pawelic for exceptional service to the state of Croatia. Dated October 24, 1944, and signed by the SS-Obersturmführer and Regiment Adjutant of the SS Panzer Grenadier Regiment 23 Norge. Also, a copy of a newspaper article about the heroic death of SS-Sturmbannführer Martin Gürz, the first recipient of the Iron Cross of the SS-Freiwilligen-Panzergrenadierdivision Nordland. The article features a short biography of Gürz, a testament to his bravery, and some details about his heroic death on the eastern front. Measuring 207 mm x 293 mm; four neat folds with a small hole in the center from folding; extremely fine condition.
