What's a max bid?

A fine and rare document grouping to Gefreiter and Tax Inspector Karl Heß; This group includes the following documents: 

A large appointment certificate (255x349mm, better than very fine) to Finance Applicant Karl Heß, naming him approbated Tax Inspector. The document is dated to Düsseldorf on September 1, 1943 and signed by the Senior Finance President of Düsseldorf, Detlef Herting.

A document for the Iron Cross 2nd Class (140x200mm, near extremely fine) to Gefreiter (Lance Corporal) Karl Hess of 1st Company of Division Füsilier Battalion 371. It is dated to August 13, 1944 and signed in pencil by Lieutenant General and Commander of the 100th
Jäger Division, Willibald Utz (1893–1954), a recipient of the Knight’s Cross.

A printed document for the Anti-Partisan Badge in Silver (measuring 150x209mm, very fine) to Gefreiter Karl Hess of 1st Company of Division Füsilier Battalion 371. It is dated to August 25, 1944 and signed in blue ink by Lieutenant General and Commander of the 100th Jäger Division, Willibald Utz.

A Labour Book (105x146mm, near extremely fine), dated to May 19, 1939.

Footnote: Karl Heß was born on July 13, 1922 in Duisburg (western Germany). He served his mandatory term in the Reich Labour Service from February to August 1941 and then had a short spell in the army from September 1941 to June 1942, after which he was discharged. Apparently Heß sought a career in financial administration, yet was back in military service by 1944. He won his decorations in Croatia.
