Award document Social Welfare Decoration, Volkert Janssen; An award document for the Social Welfare Decoration (Medaille für deutsche Volkspflege), measuring 205x290mm, in near mint condition. The recipient is DRK-Hauptführer (German Red Cross Main Leader) Volkert Janssen from Eschede, lower Saxony. The document is dated to Berlin on May 1, 1940. It carries a facsimile of Hitler’s signature, as well as one of Otto Meissner, Chief of the Presidential Chancellery. This decoration was given to those that provided social services which benefitted the German population.
