It is dated to January 30, 1942 and signed by Major General and Commander of the 251st Infantry Division, Knight’s Cross recipient Karl Burdach (1891–1976). It is issued to Schirr-Unteroffizier (Saddler NCO) Hans Vettel of the 1st Detachment of Sapper Battalion 251. (C:142)
