(Heer Panzerjäger Verleihungsurkunden). A rare lot of seven award documents named to Wachtmeister Josef Bross, a soldier in the service of tank destroyer units of the Wehrmacht on the Eastern Front. It consists of: 1. A document for a General Assault Badge, constructed of off-white paper with black ink, named to Bross as a Wachtmeister of 1./Sturmgeschütz-Abteilung 189, issued at company headquarters on 3 August 1943, featuring the handwritten signature of an unconfirmed Hauptmann and company leader, measuring 147 mm (w) x 208 mm (h), demonstrating consisting creasing and fatigue which has been reinforced throughout with tape, in fair condition. 2. A document for a 1939 Iron Cross II Class, constructed of off-white paper stock with black ink, named to Bross as a Wachtmeister of 1./Sturmgeschütz-Abteilung 189, issued at the headquarters of 78. Infanterie-Division on 4 August 1943, featuring the handwritten signature of divisional commander Generalleutnant Hans Traut (Knight's Cross, 5 August 1940; Oak Leaves, 23 January 1942), measuring 140 mm (w) x 200 mm (h), with a central folding crease evident, in near extremely fine condition. 3. A document for a Black Grade Wound Badge, constructed of off-white paper stock with black ink, named to Bross as a Wachtmeister of 1./Sturmgeschütz-Abteilung 189, issued at company headquarters on 20 August 1943 for a single wound suffered on 25 July, featuring the handwritten signature of an unconfirmed Hauptmann and company leader, measuring 140 mm (w) x 200 mm (h), with a central folding crease evident in addition to a tear at the lower left corner, in better than very fine condition. 4. A document for a General Assault Badge, Special Grade 25, constructed of off-white paper with black ink, named to Bross as a Wachtmeister of 1./Sturmgeschütz-Abteilung 189, issued at company headquarters on 21 December 1943, featuring the handwritten signature of an unidentifeid Hauptmann and company commander, measuring 150 mm (w) x 210 mm (h), with a some folding and creasing evident, in better than very fine condition. 5. A document for a General Assault Badge, Special Grade 50, constructed of off-white paper with black ink, named to Bross as a Wachtmeister of 1./Heeres-Sturmgeschütz-Brigade 249, issued at brigade headquarters on 28 July 1944, featuring the handwritten signature of Major Rudolf Kranz (Knight's Cross, 23 October 1944) in his capacity as brigade commander, measuring 142 mm (w) x 200 mm (h), with a central folding crease evident, in near extremely fine condition. 6. A document for a Silver Grade Wound Badge, constructed of off-white paper with black ink, named to Bross as a Wachtmeister of 1./Heeres-Sturmgeschütz-Brigade 249, issued at brigade headquarters on 2 August 1944 for three wounds suffered on 25 July 1943, 26 August 1943, and 20 July 1944, featuring the handwritten signature of Major Rudolf Kranz (Knight's Cross, 23 October 1944) in his capacity as brigade commander, measuring 140 mm (w) x 200 mm (h), with a central folding crease evident, in near extremely fine condition. 7. A document for a 1939 Iron Cross I Class, constructed of off-white paper stock with black ink, named to Bross as a Wachtmeister of 1./Heeres-Sturmgeschütz-Brigade 249, issued at group headquarters on 22 August 1944, featuring the handwritten signature of Army Group commander Generaloberst Gotthard Heinrici (Knight's Cross, 18 September 1941; Oak Leaves, 24 November 1943; Swords, 3 March 1945), measuring 140 mm (w) x 202 mm (h), with a central folding crease evident, in near extremely fine condition.
