A pair of award documents for the 1939 Iron Cross II Class, including one named to Unteroffizier Borgardt, Infanterie-Regiment 473, issued at division headquarters on 22 May 1940, featuring a handwritten signature of Generalleutnant Fritz Kühne (German Cross in Silver), measuring 141 mm (w) x 200 mm (h), minor soiling evident, in overall near extremely fine condition, and; one named to Grenadier Pfeifer, Grenadier-Regiment 116, issued in the field on 9 May 1943, featuring a handwritten signature of Generalleutnant Siegmund Freiherr von Schleinitz (Knight’s Cross of the Iron Cross and German Cross in Gold), measuring 140 mm (w) x 200 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.
