(Infanterie-Sturmabzeichen Verleihungsurkunde). Constructed of off-white paper with black ink, named to Gefreiter Hans Gebhardt of 7. Kompanie, Grenadier-Regiment 145, 65. Infanterie-Division, issued at regimental headquarters on 30 April 1944, measuring 140 mm (w) x 198 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.

 

Footnote: At the time of issue, Grenadier-Regiment 145 was subordinated to 65. Infanterie-Division as part of Kampfgruppe Pfeiffer. The Kampfgruppe was tasked with splitting the Anzio beachhead and preventing the Allies from consolidating their foothold in the area as part of Operation Fischfang. The offensive failed with heavy casualties, and the remnants of Kampfgruppe Pfeiffer were withdrawn.
