A lot of documents and insignia to Friedrich Schafroth, including dive log book, constructed of a rose-pink card stock binding, the interior with 35 pages and handwritten entries recording Schafroth’s dives, issued 14 November 1941, with entries listed through November 1944, measuring 106 mm (w) x 148 mm (h), with age-appropriate soiling and material fatigue evident, in overall very fine condition; an award document for a Tirpitz Commemorative Pin, constructed of off-white paper, dated 16 January 1944, measuring 105 mm (w) x 148 mm (h), in near extremely fine condition; a pair of Kriegsmarine passes, each constructed of off-white paper with black ink and measuring 145 mm (w) x 105 mm (h), with some material fatigue evident, in overall very fine condition; a Kriegsmarine service contract, constructed of off-white paper with black ink, dated 12 March 1938, indicating that Schafroth has volunteered for a minimum of four years of service with the Kriegsmarine, affirmed 16 March 1938, measuring 208 mm (w) x 295 mm (h), with some material fatigue evident, in overall better than very fine condition; a disciplinary report compiled by Schafroth detailing an incident during a diving exercise, constructed of off-white paper with black ink, dated 2 November 1944, measuring 212 mm (w) x 298 mm (h), minor material fatigue evident, in overall better than very fine condition; a photograph of a Kriegsmarine diver with naval personnel, unmarked and undated, the reverse with an unspoiled postcard format, measuring 87 mm (w) x 134 mm (h), in extremely fine condition; a postcard depicting the battleship Tirpitz, the reverse unspoiled, measuring 140 mm (w) x 90 mm (h), in extremely fine condition; a Kriegsmarine Diver NCO’s sleeve insignia, constructed of white cotton, the obverse bearing a red machine-embroidered insignia, unmarked, measuring 72 mm (w) x 90 mm (h), with some mothing evident, in overall very fine condition; a letter, constructed of off-white paper with black ink, responding to Schafroth’s request to enlist in the Bundesmarine, dated 17 November 1956, measuring 210 mm (w) x 296 mm (h), with its original envelope, in overall near extremely fine condition; a letter, constructed of white paper with black ink, informing Schafroth that his request to enlist in the Bundesmarine has been denied, dated 4 March 1957, measuring 210 mm (w) x 297 mm (h), in extremely fine condition; a memo to Schafroth from diving equipment supplier Ernst Klose, dated 27 February 1946, measuring 146 mm (w) x 196 mm (h), in near extremely fine condition, and; a Bavarian Red Cross Water Rescue Service Certificate, constructed of card stock with multi-coloured ink, dated 10 August 1948 and featuring a black-and-white photograph of Schafroth, indicating that he is a resident of Westheim, measuring 76 mm (w) x 106 mm (h), in extremely fine condition, accompanied by its sleeve insignia, constructed of white cotton twill, the obverse bearing a machine-embroidered Bavarian Red Cross Water Rescue Service insignia, unmarked, measuring 100 mm (w) x 68 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.
