The Wound Badge in Black certificate is named to Meta Hofschulz, Ehefrau (wife), for being wounded during an air raid on 30 March 1943. Dated to Berlin-Dahlem on 24 June 1944, carrying a facsimile signature of Flak General Gerhard Hoffmann (1887-1969), a recipient of the German Cross in Gold. Measuring 147 mm (w) x 208 mm (h), presenting a folding crease and light creasing of the edges, remains extremely fine.
