What's a max bid?

A Crimean Shield & Eastern Front Medal Documents to Kriegsmarine Radio Operator Hans Kunze

 

Two award certificates, one for the Crimean Shield, measuring 148x210mm, very fine condition with folding crease several minor tears, and one for an Eastern Front Medal, measuring 139x200mm, extremely fine condition with folding creases and minor scuffing.

 

Both certificates are awarded to Gefreiter (Lance Corporal) and Radio Operator Hans Kunze, part of the Seeverteidigung Krim (Navy Defense Crimea).

The Crimean Shield certificate is dated to March 1, 1943 and carries a facsimile by Generalfeldmarschall Erich von Manstein (1887–1973), a recipient of the Knight’s Cross with Oak Leaves and Swords.

The Eastern Front Medal certificate is dated to June 25, 1943, stating that the award was received on November 1, 1942. The document is signed in blue ink by Naval Captain and Commander of the Naval Defense Crimea, Otto Schulz (1900–1974), a recipient of the Knight’s Cross.
