A Feldwebel’s collection of 15 wartime photos, including Lt. Wonde (KC)

15 photos, measuring between 89x60mm and 105x75mm, very fine to extremely fine condition. It is the private collection of an unnamed Feldwebel (Sergeant). One photo is dated to Russia on September 1, 1940. The reverse reads: For mother. Two photos are dated to Romania in 1941, one of them to March, and dedicated in remembrance either of or to Otto. One photo shows a soldier wearing a Knight’s Cross, a Close Combat Clasp, and an Iron Cross 1st Class. It is a picture of Leutnant Hermann Wonde (1915–1987), Leader of the 6th Company of Reiter Regiment 41, who was awarded the Knight’s Cross on March 23, 1945. The other pictures show soldiers, individually or in groups.
