This is a mint photograph depicting Poglavnik Ante Pavelic with a series of German Wehrmacht staff viewing a destroyed village. It features a small typewritten description on the reverse. Translated, it states “The joining of the Croats with the Germans had terrible consequences. The Ustasha (Croatian militia) began an extermination war against the Serbian population. Thousands were murdered. This resulted in a terrible and cruel partisan war. Here is the Poglavnik viewing destroyed villages. Recording: War Reporter Wurm”. The photograph measures 176 mm x 124 mm, and is in mint condition.
